While this website is a reflection of the personal enthusiasms I express through my work, when you come to my site, you are looking for artwork that is relevant to the way YOU experience the world.

I hope you will find that something here speaks to what you love about life. After all, if you just want to fill an empty wall space, you can hang a mirror, a clock, a bulletin board, old license plates or a montage of wine labels. You could inscribe a favorite quotation on the wall, and that's valid. Words are wonderful things.

Words have a place in every person's life, but few, if any, people who have experienced the richness of life through their eyes would wish to lose their vision and be limited to hearing, touch, taste and smell. What would it be like not to know what blue or red is?

Most people probably prefer beautiful art, but there is room for other kinds of images. An artist may create a dramatic or ominous image, such as my monotypes "Hanoi" or "Batten the Hatches". Dramatic images can be as enjoyable as a suspenseful book or a Hitchcock film. Human experience is full of variety, which keeps life stimulating and fresh, provided the drama and suspense don't outweigh the joyous, sensuous and relaxing interludes.

So, while it may be easier to "market" an artist who specializes in one or two things - seascapes, wildlife or flowers, for example - I would find it terribly confining to restrict myself to one or two categories of creativity. If a grocer can sell all kinds of food, and not just kumquats or cabbages, why should an artist be shoehorned into restrictive over-specialization? I'm all for the Renaissance individual!

Whatever mood you are in today, welcome to the vast world of experience I enjoy exploring, and thank you for being part of the visual conversation. You are invited to contact me through the "Contact" form accessed through the site navigation bar to share your thoughts and enthusiasms.

I hope you will truly find here some reflection of  "The world the way you love it".
